When two device on network is use logical addressing to communicate each other.it is call as Network. There are two basic important network classification that you need to know. LAN and WAN.
LAN(Local Area Network)
This is used to describe a network a limited geographical area such as floor, building or a campus. LAN basically has a high-transfer rate. The Ethernet standard is the most conmanly used technology in LANs.
WAN(Wide Area Network)
This is used to describe a network a large geographical area such as city or country. They are use to connect LAN across the area they cover.
